Giving a name and identity to a new winemaking venture
For more than 125 years, Vergers Petit & Fils has cultivated the land and developed local products in Mont-Saint-Hilaire. After building a strong reputation in orchards, pick-your-own experiences, and cider production, the company was entering a new chapter with the creation of its own vineyard. This new initiative was part of an ambitious project to develop a local wine offering from more than 32,000 vines spanning several carefully selected grape varieties.
To support the launch, the team partnered with Nara Creative to create the complete foundations of the brand, from the naming process to the development of the visual identity and product labels.

Creating a brand capable of carrying a new vision
Unlike many rebranding projects, Montvinéa Vineyard did not yet exist. Everything had to be built from the ground up. The challenge was to develop a distinctive brand capable of embodying the project’s premium character, its local roots in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, and the established expertise of Vergers Petit & Fils.
The name needed to be memorable, evocative, and flexible enough to support the vineyard’s future growth. The visual identity and labels also needed to help each wine stand out on the shelf while remaining part of a cohesive and lasting universe capable of evolving with the brand for years to come.

The Objectives
Develop a distinctive name capable of representing the ambition, positioning, and vision of the new vineyard.
Create a complete visual identity to support the launch and future development of the brand.
Design a cohesive labeling system capable of accommodating different wines while strengthening brand recognition.

To support the launch of Montvinéa Vineyard, we developed an approach combining brand strategy, naming, art direction, and label design.

Creating the Montvinéa Vineyard name
We guided the team through a comprehensive naming process involving research, analysis, and creative development to identify a distinctive name for this new venture. This process led to the creation of Montvinéa Vineyard, an identity inspired by the region, the world of wine, and the experience the vineyard aims to offer its visitors.
Today, the name serves as the cornerstone of the entire brand and helps clearly differentiate the vineyard within Quebec’s wine industry.

Visual identity development
Building on the established positioning, we created a complete visual universe including the logo, color palette, typography, graphic elements, and various brand applications.
The objective was to create an elegant, timeless, and evocative identity capable of reflecting the vineyard’s premium character while maintaining a subtle connection to the history and roots of the Petit family.

Product label design
We developed a flexible packaging system designed to accommodate the vineyard’s different wines. Each label was created to highlight the unique characteristics of each wine while maintaining strong visual consistency across the entire collection.
This approach now allows Montvinéa to present its products through a refined, distinctive, and easily recognizable visual universe.
Our Results
A brand created entirely from the ground up to support the launch of the new vineyard.
A distinctive visual identity that allows Montvinéa to stand out within Quebec’s wine industry.
A cohesive collection of labels designed to support the future evolution of the vineyard’s products and wines.
